Best Honeymoon/dive Vacation In Tahiti?

My Fiance Has 35 Dives...... And I Have A Little Over A Hundred. Next May Or June We Are Planning On Getting Married And Would Love Some Experienced Input On Which Island Would Be The Best For Both Above And Below Water.

Probably Bora Bora for both above and below water ...

Bora Bora or Moorea. Bora has a more beautiful lagoon and Mantas, but I find Moorea more "authentic" and peaceful.

Either place, I recommend diving with TopDive. Lots of resort options either island, from very basic Fares to overwater bungalows (if you can, do splurge on those - will be a memory you'll always treasure).

I, too, would vote for Bora Bora. My wife and I were both just there in June for our 20th anniversary and it couldn't have been better. We booked everything through Etahiti Travel (www.etahititravel.com) and the arrangements were effortless and everything was flawless. The owner is a friend of mine and also owns Bora Bora Dive Resort. We stayed there in an over water bungalow and dove through Top Dive.

Rangiroa is world renown for water clarity and shark life. Some awesome diving there as well as OWBs. I second the motion that the overwater bungalows are worth every cent for people who spend lots of time in the ocean.

My only reservation with Rangiroa would be your fiance's experience level. You dive Tiputa pass with the changing tide. The current can rip up to several knots with depths on the inside of around 100 fsw. The outside can be "technical" depths of up to 200 fsw for those with the proper training. That having been said, we LOVED Rangiroa -- lots of sharks, mantas, dolphins, etc.
