Best Frogfish Pics?

Does anyone know how they get their coloration? I mean I've seen juvi's that are yellow like this and sometimes black. Seems like the more they grow the more they change colors.

Got these two last week on Bonaire ("Wahhh, I'm back home now..."). The yellow one was at Something Special, just south of the marker bouy. The orange one was south of Windsock on a large Elephant Ear sponge. // ww

nor a bright red one yet like yours gabe..

but, just shot this froggy on LCU West sunday.. more of a maroon than red =/

and this froggy at Lanai Lookout at the start of the summer..

Nice ones JJ..... I've seen as many as 6 on one dive at the LCU! Love how the mouth is open in the first one!
