Have to agree...Kinta is my favorite. Looking forward to our next trip. Kris and his brother just opened another restaurant!! Can't wait to have dinner there.

It's called Kondesa and is a big open air palapa-type structure at Av. 5 between 5 and 7--quite diferent than Kinta in atmosphere. Menu differs, too.

I like Kinta, La Perlita (if you like sangrita (not to be confused with sangria), their's is hard to beat), Sorrisi, La Coay & Le Chef (recently merged with La Bistrot). And El Moro (old menu has changed) for their chicken mole.

I used to like Especias and Guido's, but found the former lacking my last few visits and Guido's has become absurdly expensive. Casa Denis fell off my list 4-5 yrs ago.

Bon appetit.

My wife and my favorite is Kinta. We always eat there twice on every one week trip. She likes it so much that she makes me promise that I will not go there on my solo trips to Cozumel.

Now that's harsh.... If you hide in the plants in the back, no one will see you and report back....

For the best "real deal" Mexican food and great value, I really favor El Moro.

You know El Moro and the mole was my thing. Then Gun I think tells me about this Zachariah platter thing for 2. Now I think I need to go there twice a trip too....

The "Zachariah" platter--plenty to eat, that's for sure.

what about the post dive snack at Wet Wendy's............Blackened Chicken Chipotle Mango Nachos..............absolutely heavenly, especially if served with a Jalepeno-Cucumber Margarita!

Thanks all for the ideas, we will be going on Friday and we are staying at an AI :( so I really wanted to spend the one or two meals that we eat out at the best in town, we tried to go to Kinta last time we went but only found the parking lot and could not find the resturant....:D we finally found it and it was closed that day. this time we will only eat at a few. and I suspect Kinta may get tried.
