I was just wanting to know what many of you thought the best fins out there are at an affordable price.

The best way to save money on fins is to test drive as many different ones as you can. I'm using a split fin these days. I'm 57 and my performance shot up along with ease of use. When I was younger I wanted long and stiff.
Did I just say that? I'm talking fins guys.
My wife uses those Velos and loves them, seems to fit her style.
But what I'm getting at is paying retail might even be a good deal, as long as you only have to buy one pair. See if your LDS will let you use some demos.
