Hi folks--Well, I'll throw our hat in the ring here too. Like several folks have said, lots of great operators in NC. Some differences between us.

We are in Carolina Beach, near Wilmington. We're the new guys. Here's a couple reasons you might come diving with us. Great new boat. 50 foot Newton. World class dive boat. More room per diver than any boat i know of. Great wrecks and the best ledge and reef system north of the Caribbean. Location. Easy access down I-40. Lots of places to stay and other things to do. Our boat is in a permanent slip, with parking next to the boat. Captain has 15 years experience as an instructor and dive boat captain in locations around the world.

So, give us a try. We'll do all we can to give you a good diving experience. Check out our website (link below).

I probably wasn't clear enough, but the little summary I wrote was just for dive ops in the Morehead/Beaufort area. There are some great operators and some great diving in other areas on NC too.

After a thousand dives off the NC coast, from the VA border to the SC border, I would recommend Olympus without qualm.

Olympus is very conservative. That's all I will say. I like http://www.aquaticsafaris.com/

what makes one charter more conservative than another? I went out with Olympus last year and I got max bottom time. If you mean they won't go do technical diving, I'm not entirely sure that's the case. If you mean they won't go out in 7 foot seas with 25 knots winds, I'm ok with that.

If you mean "they cater to inexperienced divers", I'm not sure that's the case either.

Flounderer,
We have y'all book for 5-21,22-05 will you be on board? Supposed to go to the FP. We have been trying to do that dive for 6 months and the weather never wants to cooperate. When was the last time you were out there?

Good to hear your coming back down. I'm not sure if I'll be on the boat both days but I'm sure I can get one of them in. I was out that direction on Tuesday a few miles east of the Tower. The temp was around 65 and the visibility was 20 ft. I'm going back to that area Sat and Sun weather permitting, I'll let you know how it is. Hopefully it will clear up and warm up by then.
