Foo:
Husband dove with ScubaCancun last summer, they make an excellent video- and Manchones reef was awesome.

I too dove with ScubaCancun for my OW referral dives.
They were very nice and professional. I bought the DVD of my last dive and love showing it to friends and family.

Did they put the video to some way cool, interesting tunes-some instrumental? Ours is, and when a nurse shark jumped out of the reef and swam away they used a real hard beat and it really synchronized with the action. We have also made everyone look at the video. Actually, that video is what really made me want to dive, finally!

Hi Foo,
The music and special effects are fantastic! :dazzler1:
We got some good shark footage & turtle too.
I was staying near the photagrapher not thinking I would get some good camera time, but it turned out that way to my benifit. Just might have to pop it in and watch it tonight.
Regards,

Oh I posted a picture of me on a Cozmel dive, member in action, dlndavid :D

How do I get to the pic?

My husband and I are going to Cancun the first week in August, (this will be our 1st dive trip since getting certified last fall), what is the water temp like at that time of year, will we need shorties or full suits?

I have written down some of the dive sites in cancun to check out.

I used Manta during the Christmas holidays. I did 12 dives with them including the cenotes and Cozumel. It was great. I also got a nice video of the cenote dives from them.

Hey Denise

Water temp is around 76 F, 3mm shorty sufficient unless you intend doing a lot of cenote dives.

Are you actually staying in the Cancun hotel zone or further South?

This is the sort of question you would start a new thread with - you could also do a search of the forum to get answers.

we used Tank-ha out of Playa de Carmen on our last trip to the Tulum area (just got back)--they were great. In december, we used Scuba Cancun. They were good too, but we liked Tank-ha better.

I dove in Cancun for two years when I went there. I dove with a place called Nautilus Diving. They are the friendliest people you can meet. They are at Marina Hotel Villas Tacul. They will give you the best deal and best service. When I go back I will dive with them again. I even got to have 2 divemasters by myself once. We stay down as long as we want. They have a video service with a guy named Clemente and he is great. I have and hour video and a 45 minute one. They cost me a total of $100 . This was not a premade video but one with me in it and all the things I saw. Give them a call and you won't be sorry.
