:D And there is ScubaBoard in a nutshell: four responses which have three different recommendations and a question.

Hey! If you want the one correct answer, go to your local dive shop! They know the absolute best wing for your diving, and even better, they just happen to have one in stock!! :thumb: (Yeah, I know it's the only brand they carry. What's your point?)

Welcome to ScubaBoard!!!

I’m not looking for the definitive ‘best’, I’m looking for your personal best and why :)

In that case I would say its a toss up between the Dive Gear Express Wing (DGX) and the Vintage Double Hose Wing (VDH)

When I was buying mine I narrowed it down to those two choices.

DGX is cheaper @ $199 free shipping, specs:
Low profile donut design with a lift capacity of { 30 lb | 13.6 kg }
1000 Denier nylon outer shell with urethane coated 200 Denier laminated bladder

VDH is more expensive @$255 for 35# lift, but heavier duty, specs:
Outer Shell 1680 denier urethane coated

YKK Zipper, #69 nylon bonded thread.

Internal perimeter cord to retain shape

Bladder is 400 denier urethane

100% USA made.

In the end I went with the full VDH package, mostly because I like to support the little guy. I have bought a lot of other stuff from DGX though and wouldn't hesitate to buy their wing or complete setup either.
