I have dove the Hernando tanks a few times. They are about 20 miles out and in about 28' of water. I have speared a few sheephead and grouper there. There are 10 tanks of the Vietnam era. I think I remember only about 4 of them still having mooring bouys on them the last time I was out. I am thinking about doing a night dive on them sometime soon. I will keep you posted if I can make the time to do this. If you want the GPS on them let me know.
 
If you end up doing this, have space for one more on the boat, and someone wants to invite me, count me in as well!
 
The tanks are pretty cool but i find the concrete rubble around the tanks to be a bit more productive in terms of spearfishing! Still a pretty fun dive shallow enough i recommend freediving if your gonna be spearfishing
