Hi everybody--
I'm headed to a mosquito conference in Savannah, GA in late February. I thought I might play hookey for a day and see what there is to see underwater around there--can anybody reccomend a good plan for a fairly new diver? Thanks in advance,
squid

Not real good diving near Savannah. You have to go a loooong way out to get into deep enough water and even then there is really nothing to see.
Your best bet would be to head about an hour south to Brunswick where you can catch a boat to go out to Grays Reef.

Thanks Dave--I'll check that out!

hey, you know... you could give us a report on how the dive went. I'm about three hours from Brunkswick, and might want to go up there sometime and try
Grays' Reef... =P

You might want to make contact with someone from this group of which I'm a member:

and see if any divers are planning an outing, but I have my doubts, not much on the schedule until spring hits. Meanwhile we are all 'jonesing' with ya.

Hopefully though you'll enjoy your visit to the area, regardless of whether you get to dive or not..

Hey!

I'm a member of ScubaDiversofSavannah, and live here in Savannah. I don't know of anyone diving right now, but check out these sites, they may be able to hook you up with some of the die-hards diving cooler months.

www.ZeroGravityDivers.com (Ralph)
www.GeorgiaOffshore.com (Bob)
www.FantasiaScuba.com (Eddie)

One of these may be able to steer you to diving late February.

Take care.
