I’ve kept bees for about 7 years now. SATurner did a good job describing bee interactions. Unfortunately, many or heck. I’d say that most people describe flying stinging insects as “bees” when it could in actuality be bees, wasps, yellow jackets, or hornets. None of them “attack” unless you inadvertently cross a boundary which in most cases is physically touching the nest/hive; none except the Africanized bees that will come after you from afar.

I’m not commenting specifically about COZ, just making a general statement.
