Not as yet. It was hoped that the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope was going to get a signal at 22:00GMT on the 25th, but nothing.

There is a bit on Yahoo! Science News.

I thought I read that it'd take a few days for it to charge its solar powered batteries before transmitting...?

All three attempts have now ended in failure. They're now saying the best chance to hear the signal...if there is one...will be when the orbiter goes into a lower orbit and passes directly over the landing site. Things do not look good right now. We get two more shots at Mars in January when our landers touch down...hopefully intact.

Its dead. They've failed comms on the UHF and X band transponders on multiple passes.

The landing was dicey relying on 2 parachute deploys, heat shield removal, airbag inflation at low level and airbag deflation, cut away etc. Something could well have gone wrong there.
Failing that it could simply have landed on a rock or in a crevace.

Its disappointing really that Beagles science mission was in my eyes the most interesting of the landers.

The japanese probe and Beagle appear to have failed, Mars Express however appears working.

So far then its 1/3.

Lets hope with the rover landers it can be made 3/5 success rate.
