I seemed to always run into him as I was enjoying my breakfast of french toast at BA. Too much sugar to be adding churros. As for post-dive afternoons, the Mrs. and I would often wander into town, missing the churro / coffee re-vitalization process. Gonna have to go the pre-payment way on my next visit to BA, and just leave the product in the room fridge for some afternoon delight. Sound like a delicious and inexpensive treat. As Oscar Wilde said, "I can resist anything, except temptation."

I saw him more than a few times over Labor Day at Julio Kin's VIP. I never did partake as it would have given me horrible heartburn during the dive. That's any sweets, not just his food.

My husband says he was an engineer. I thought it was medical of some type but that may be because I was in the medical field. So I’m not sure now.
Javier's background appears to be somewhat plastic. I'm a physician. He told me he'd been a veterinarian. My nephew is a veterinarian. He told my nephew he'd been an engineer. My brother's a biomedical engineer. He told my brother he'd been a lawyer. Vet and engineer seem to be the most common. There's no reason someone can't have been an engineer and a vet before becoming a churrero. He usually says he came from México City.

I think the pertinent facts are that Javier is always friendly and fun to talk to and is a great source for delicious churros and personal defense supplies (my wife gets all her pepper sprays and stun flashlights from him).
