My wife and I, and another couple, stayed at the closest Beach house, Doc's Place, in April. We would not stay there again. The a/c in the bedrooms couldn't keep up with the heat, and the rooms were basic at best. The food at CCV was mediocre.
The diving was great, and the dive operation was first rate. I realize that dive resorts are not luxury resorts, but there is a reason that CCV is relatively inexpensive--you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the report. I never liked the AC in that particularly unique design Beach House (#4)- it's a wide single story unit with a low flat roof. Hard to keep cool. Most times, A/C isn't necessary, but when it is, it is!

So to those that stayed in BH4, were there any odd experiences?

We stayed in BH4 last December. Given the time of the year, AC had capacity to spare. No odd experiences. Good water pressure, lots of hot water, very good housekeeping service, one large bedroom, one small one (we had the small one, which is marginal). Basic but comfy accommodations. Not too far away for either walking or biking. Biggest problem was often not having a bike with a basket for all the gear.

We stayed in Cabana C2 last August, and overall I preferred that to the BH even though cabana water pressure and hot water were not as good. We liked being closer to the clubhouse and dock, and also the balcony over the water.

We had the full meal plan both times, wouldn't do without.
