I carry a small pelican box in a pocket of my BC. When traveling, it is just big enough to hold my passport, cards, cash and room keys.

I use a cheap caribiner clip and clip it to a d ring on my BC

I had a "non-path" key made at the dealer. It will unlock the doors but can't start the car. It clips to my BC or goes in a pocket. The actual key & remote are stashed in the car.

That sounds like the best plan to me yet. My previous car key had a chip embedded in the plastic handle part and I was always concerned that pressure would mess with it and leave me #^$% after the dive coz it then wouldn't nuetralize the immobilizer alarm system so I could start the engine. Needless to say I never did take that one down with me in a BC pocket or such. Now that I look at the new car's key I notice that it doesnt seem to have an immobilizer sensor built into the key which means it'd probably deal with the pressure no problem. I'll phone the dealership to confirm just in case but I think this problem is sorted out for me now:D Thnx for the awesome replies :coffee:

You worried customs might have a passport check at 15ft? Hmmm...mebbe that wouldn't be such a bad idea - it might just get some divers to do that safety stop they otherwise would have ignored. :D :coffee:

PS: Is it only big enough to hold the passport, cards, cash, and keys when you're travelling, or at other times too? :mooner: :D

I have a dedicated "wet Key" and clip it into my pocket.

I hide the key with the thingy in the truck someplace.

However - I am loving the HitchSafe... very cool.

I once finished a dive and noticed soemthign stabbing my leg when taking of fmy wetsuit It was my car keys still in the pocket of my bathing suit. Luckily for me the clicker still worked :) . i have since bought a new vehicle and it has a keyless entry pad on the drivers side door. it is very convenient because i can leave my wallet and keys locked in the car and not worry.

Being a dry suit diver, I just put it in my pocket.......:D
