BC's for short torso women

Does anyone have a recommendation on who makes a good BC for a short torso women? I recently did my open water training and the top of my BC was constantly pushing against my neck. :cool2:

Zeagle Zena. Fully interchangeable/customizeable shoulder straps for length, different panels for waist, and fits curves. IMO the best BC available for women.

Try on a DiveRite Transpac. The XS & S are specifically made for short torsos. The harness part itself can be adjusted to custom fit many sizes. I've been able to let mine out to accomodate weight gain and thick wetsuits.

All women's BCs are cut shorter than the typical rental generic BCs. Almost every brand now makes a BC specifically for women with shorter backplates (and narrower). Some popular ones include the Zeagle Zena, Scubapro Ladyhawk, and the Seaquest-Aqualung Libra. Each varies in features and fit. I recommend visiting as many different LDSs as you can and trying on as many brands as possible before making the investment. Remember that the most important feature is how it fits YOU and your comfort level.

Try a Zeagle Concept II they can be adjusted to fit anyone. Short, narrow, wide, tall it doesn't matter.

Ok, I'll be the first to suggest considering a backplate and wing (BP/W). The backplate can be acquired to fit as large variety of torsos and the Hogarthian harness is infinitely adjustable. I love mine, and I only do recreational diving at the moment. I would take a look at Deep Sea Supply:

Yep. A backplate & wing BC does not discriminate between the sexes, body sizes or shapes.

I'll also vote for a BP/W. I'm a small woman, and I was delighted with the ability to get just the right fit. Some companies (DSS among them) make plates in various sizes, so you can get one that really suits your body shape and type.

I'll have to 2nd the Zeagle Zena recommendation ... has 3 sections that can all be ordered in different sizes to fit your body. (I'm short & busty.) And I love the zip up front ... no velcro cummerbund sticking to my wetsuit and very easy to adjust/tighten up under water - if needed. Also very lightweight and easy to pack for travel.

ScubaPro makes two female-specifc BCs - the Ladyhawk and the Bella. According to the ads both are designed for to accomodate shorter torsos and come in a wide range of sizes. Both are fully adjustable. The Ladyhawk is a back-inflate and the Bella is semi-jacket. Both have integrated weights.

I'd say all the other suggestions you have recived are good also, so head down to the LDS and find something that fits you and that you like.
