I've gotta go with the Zeagle (back-inflate) too. I know exactly what you mean when you say you like the feel of the jacket style inflating around you. I felt that way too when I started. Fortunately I have a great LDS and the owner encouraged me to try out a Zeagle. Reluctantly I did and LOVED IT!! I did miss the "feel" around my torso but that passed quickly and now I'll never go back to a jacket style.
As ssdiver2003 suggested, try them out first.
