hi all,

i was just toying around using the raw pictures on my sp350. i haven't use it u/w yet as i am waiting for my ikelite housing next month .

i have realized that the 256mb of Xd card that was given to me for free has a slow shutter lag for raw, i think it's an "m" card not "h" card. so my question is if using "H" card will speed up the Raw pictures shots or faster shutter time? and will "H" card also reduces the battry consumption due to a faster memroy proccessing?

Thanks

The "H" card will definitely speed up the write/review speed of the RAW images. I would use RAW if I were you on underwater shots as it will give you more options to adjust things later.

As far as battery consumption.. Don't know.. But I would think that if it takes less time for the camera to write using the "H" card, ultimately you can get more shots off and it should take LESS battery since the camera is accessing the card for less time. But like I said.. I haven't tested this at all as we only use "H" and have since using the camera.
