Thanks for the info. I will check it out. I am looking forward to diving here if only for one time for a been there done that dive. I m completeing my dry suite class sat. plan on doing so fry suite cives this winter here in Texas for pratice. By Feb I should be ready to brave the cold lakes up there or by Feb I might be wishing my son had joined Mike's son in a sunny Cal boot camp.

Where does everyone do weekend fun divesaround the area?

I think Dean already said it, but Haigh Quarry in Kankakee is a pretty popular spot on the weekends. Should be around a 2 hr drive from Great Lakes Naval Station, maybe a bit more. Check it out at www.haighquarry.com

My son will gradulate fri 2/9, I will have the weekend to dive. haighquarry is closed until march. but anything with in a 4-5 hour drive will be ok.
