they sit about two inches or so below your neck, so you don't feel them.
you don't even know they're there until you tuck your chin in.

some people like them tighter, but i prefer a little room

Ok I can buy those at any scuba shop or is there some place cheaper?

any bungee will do (Home Depot, etc.), and then you can tie them yourself.

i use two cable ties on either side of the mouthpiece, but some people use knots.

i don't have a pic handy, sorry

You can make the bungee necklace yourself or member Boogie711 makes some for a very reasonable cost. HERE's his website with a photo.

He also makes some great spring straps, I love mine.

If that is how tech divers and those associated are going to act and talk, then
Why should I ask thier opinion about anything?

I don't mean to apologise for any unnecessary rudeness, but in answer to your question, you might consider asking their opinions because there's a good chance their opinions are based on a lot of detailed knowledge and first hand experience with things that may not even occur to most recreational divers. That you might get a good answer in a rude way doesn't make the answer itself any less valuable.

You need to lose your poor attitude and learn from those that have more experience than you.

If YOU don't like the answers, don't ask the questions.
I told her to rearrange her cotton but I think the post got yanked. :eyebrow:

What do you think DD, should someone repost Learning 101??

Boogie711:
I'm sorry, beachdivequeenbelam, you're right. I wasn't aware there was a PADI Cave Diving certification.

That must be new. REALLY new.

there is a PADI Cavern diving specialty, but it IS NOT full cave diving. PADI does not offer a full cave certification.

A PADI Master Instructor cannot teach anything an PADI OWSI can't teach. The difference is simply that a MSDT has met a certification quota and teaches at least 5 specialties. These five specialty ratings just mean that they have taken an instructor course to teach these specialties or they have met a quota there as well. Look it up. If you are a DM candidate, you should already know this difference. I thought about going for my DM rating, but after researching it, I decided it wasn't the path I wanted to take because I never intend to be a professional. I love what I do and it is much more lucrative than being a professional diver (not slamming professional divers).

Why do you want to be a DM anyway? I haven't seen that question asked? Do you actually want to work professionally as a diver, or do you just want the card?

This is just another example of her not kowing what the h*** she's talking about.

Beach diverqueen, I think THIS is the thing that is getting you slammed. Tech divers don't all think they are better, but when you start talking about stuff with "authority" on subjects that you have little or no clue about, that's when people start bashing you. It's ok not to know about something, but be intelligent enough to admit it. If you in fact hold three bachelors degrees and almost 2 masters, then how do you have so much time to invest in this thread? My guess is that you are a perpetual learner, which is ok. I too love to learn, but when you find something you aren't good at, be big enough to realize it an dmove on to the next endeavor.

I haven't finished reading this whole thread, I intend to though. Up to this point, beachqueen loses more an more credibility with each post in my opinion.

Instead of getting nasty and defensive, think about the fact that many of these people have been involved in diving for many, many years and actually KNOW what they are talking about. Be big enough to admit when you are wrong or uninformed and it will gain you more respect.

You are young, so I will give you that.

I hadn't seen that post before this. It is absolutely brilliant. Thanks for the link.

Beachdivewhatever- you might want to read that post (in it's entirety). It would help out in your dive endeavors tremendously.

Please don't... it's for your own good!
