I now use a late Titan first stage with the 8mm hex inlet fitting, and 2x G250s. I can service any of them with minimal tools in less than 15 mins. Which is why I'd choose to travel with them. Of course I take service kits. I use an SPG and transmitter, chances of both failing pretty slim. I take spare LP and BC hoses. Don't take a spare mask, probably should given my circus freak small head. Fins have spring straps so unlikely to fail. I digress.... again...
To note, in over 20 years of diving and thousands of dives I've never had an in water failure. In fact only issue I've ever had was hp spool and that was after turning air on, a 3 min fix.
