We are traveling to Coz next week to with another family. We would like to be able to have all 4 adults dive together once or twice, rather than always having 2 dive and 2 stay with the kids.

I am sure our hotel will have some contacts, but does anyone have good childcare resources/ contacts for Coz? What should we expect to pay?

AS Karen said, your dive shop may be able to help you with that. I have a wonderful woman set up to take care of my divers 9 year old next week so they can dive with heir group each day!

FYI-we have dove with Dive Choice Mexico before, and will be diving with them again in April. Karen and her hubby are great. If you haven't picked your op yet, I'd highly recommend them...and that was prior to finding out that they offered child care just now. I kno they just had a little one themselves a couple years ago so maybe they"ve realized the need.
Cheers

So I recognize this is a 6mo+ old post, but I am about to embark on the same trip for 2 weeks. We rented what appears to be a nice condo on the beach. Our kids are going to be 4 and 7 at that time, so they can do quite a bit on their own. The grandparents will also be there. In any case, we are looking for a sitter for some mornings and maybe some evenings. How did it work out? And do you have any recommendations? FWIW, we will be going 7/30 to 8/12.

We ended up using the Villa Blanca manager's daughter and she worked out wonderfully even though she spoke virtually no English and my kids know virtually no Spanish. I think dive ops and hotels (even though you are renting) often have lists of potential sitters.

Great! Thanks ... I did contact the DiveOp I've used previously and they do have one so we might be good to go though we are always open to other suggestions if somebody has one. I appreciate your response. My kids don't know the language either but I don't expect it to be much of a problem.

For those renting a house or condo, there will typically be a management company which is practically guaranteed to have a list of babysitters (and private chefs, massage therapists, etc., etc.)
