hello there,

I'm relatively new to diving but am interested in some info before buying my own regulator. I won't say that money is no object (I don't have an Oil well in my backyard) but diving is surely not expensive comparing with my previous sports (motorcycle racing, quads etc). What I want to say is that I want the best because i've no intension to buy next year something else, better?, and find the first one swinging around in my closet. I asked already a few divers there opinion and until now everybody was positive about Atomic TX and the N700 from scubapro. The problem is that nobody has use the two. They had only experiences with one of them. Service is not an issue because we have dealers who services both in the area.

Thanks already to read my question and your personel answer to it!

Tom

Not even close for me. Atomic T2X is the finest regulator on the market.

Ask your LDS if you could "test dive" both sets before buying.

Oil well or not, there is a considerable disparity in price between the two. The T2 is a Titanium reg (T= Titanium). The MK 25 is brass, but there is a titanium version which is close to the price of the Atomic. In the US, a T2 is about twice the price of a MK 25. A B2 would make for a better head to head comparison, and, with all else equal, will breath the same as the "T" version.

thanks already guys! When I would go for the N700 it would be the black addition because I don't like shiny things. Gold teeth and chrome wheels just doesn't do it for me! The difference in price here in europe is about 250$ also due to the fact that I have a good relation with the Atomic LDS.
I think I'll go for the TX2 unless somebody can still change my mind!!
:eyebrow:

TX2 is the way to go. Although the TX2 will breath like the B2, the fact that it is ALL titanium and sealed FS, it will be much more resistant to corrosion and environmental factors. The benefit to you will be more reliability and longer time between servicing. If not TX2, then the ST1 will be almost as good in corrosion resistance.
