I guess the short answer is that if you can get a heckuva deal on a Titan or Legend, then that's what I would dive. That regulator has existed in one form or another since about....1944 or so.

2009 Titan LX can be had for around $400 while I was quoted $450 on the Legend (not sure which one). Titan LX is Sport Diver pick of the year. 30% off MSRP yields a pretty similar price for Zeagle FH7 or LT.

On a different note my DS-V breathes for me but if the Flathead VI's would have discontinued and selling for the same price when I bought it I would have gone for it instead.

Thanks for your input. FH6 is discontinued and is up for sale for $360 (30% discount does not apply)

The top shelf regulators in my mind are, Zeagle, Posiedon, DiveRite, Oceanic and now Sherwood and Aeris are adding in with some great performers. Of course we all know that the Palegic Group owns Hollis, Oceanic, Aeris, Sherwood and Genesis. Even though each designs there own regs, I am sure there is some significant cross pollination of knowledge that they all learn from.

By the way, that same LDS also recommended jumping on that deal from Sherwood SR1 - trade in any 'junk' regulator and purchase SR1 for $500...not that I have a regulator to trade in but that is yet another deal ending this month...
