Endure an extended period of challenges, pain and sorrow, then see whether you can honestly attribute ALL that is positive in life to virtuous hard work and planning.
Stuff happens. Life happens. Things we cannot control happen -- although we can control our responses.
Life is NOT fair. We all suffer bad times, we all enjoy good. But some of us are cursed with more of the first, some blessed with more of the second. You can NEVER know, based on appearance, where another person sits.
If your life is good, enjoy it. If your neighbor's isn't, don't assume his/her problems and failures result from weaknesses and character flaws. You just make yourself look ignorant.
