I really don't have an opinion on other peoples choices but your post made me chuckle and I couldn't resist

why is it OK to kill plants for food, but not animals? I don't buy the whole pain/suffering thing. It could be applied to plants too. And after all, they're still "lifeforms" !!

Using just your thumbs, gouge the eyes out of a potato and the eyes out of a puppy and tell me which one makes you puke first.
