Are springs an advantage with open heeled fins?

Next question: I had purchased a pair of "Tusa Imprex Tri-Ex" fins based on some good recommendations I had read. I will be returning them to LeisurePro once I get some recommendations for warm water fins (not split fins) with springs.

Any recommendations will be appreciated.

Yep! What everyone else said. I have them on my Bio XTs, and just got a pair for my paddles, Sherwood Kenesis EXs. Some combat diver buddies are getting them for work. :D
 
LOVE my springstraps! (made to order by Wayward Son).
 
I made my spring straps from spring stock and 4 SS 1/2 bolts, some SS 11 guage wire and some clear plastic hose. They are the SOFTEST springs you will ever encounter so they don't hurt my achilles heel.
