just as i thought, the airsource3 is designed to be integrated with the bcd and serves two purposes. the first is to provide buoyancy control by supplying compressed air to the bcd on demand; the second is to serve as a backup source of breathing in an emergency situation, taking over the role of the conventional "octopus" regulator. in an "out-of-air" situation, you would switch to the airsource3 and then pass your main reg to your buddy. if you want to sell your regulator assembly separately, you would have to disconnect the entire airsource3 component from where it attaches to the bcd, which you can then replace with a standard power inflator kit. another option would be to sell the bcd with the complete airsource3 assembly included, but that would render your regulator package incomplete. 3rd option is to just sell the whole bundle.
