I've narrowed it down to two:
1. The Titan Micra- kinda small, diaphram. $495
2. The Kronos- bubbles come out the side, diaphram also. $570
Which one should I get? Is having a side exhaust worth the extra $80. Even though I'm on a budget, I am leaning toward the Kronos.
All opinions are valued.

PS
The both come with "free" 1st stage and alternate reg(Octo).

the titan first stage is great, I would give the micra second stage a miss though as it is a pain to service.

I have two micra+ second stages. 10 years old, 80+ dives. Yes they are small, but that doesn't really matter. They don't breathe very good and are really tough to breath upside down. I'm shopping for scubapro or apeks...

Micras are good. I would look at the Kronos for sure though. A good friend of mine has had his Micra for a while now. He likes it, but does not love it. The Kronos is a good reg though - especially the newer ones - they had some minor tweaking done to them that is quite nice now.

What year would you say the tweaking was complete. I don't know what year model I am being sold, but if you can supply the above info I'll be sure and get a post tweak model.
Thanks

The 2007 model currently being sold is the one I have taken apart and played with. According to the rep I spoke with, this has been in the market for at least a couple of months - probably since March or so. Also present was one of the people highly involved in designing the regulator and he was just GUSHING about how proud he was of it. I have never personally used the reg, but from what I saw personally and have heard, this is a solid reg option.
