Aqualung Blades II Fins

I have been using Mares Avanti fins but recently purchased a pair of Aqualung Blades IIs and have used them on 8 spearfishing/sightseeing dives to depths of 75-100 feet. But it seems that I have to work harder and I suck a lot more air when diving with the Blades. On the 8 dives with the Blades, my air time has been my limiting factor whereas the NDL was the limiting factor when I used the Mares. I always had air to spare.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What fins do you think are the most powerful?
