Are the Apeks XL4 second stages serialized? If so, where on the regulator would that serial number be found?

They are.
Check under the mouthpiece or around the edge of the cover.
If that fails check the box they came in haha. The 1st stage and Primary 2nd stage should match, and depending on how they were purchased the octo may or may not match, I can't remember if AL sells them as a complete set but I don't believe they do.

Etched on the reg body forward of the venturi lever with stuff like the CE number.
