Every time I go there I walk out POed. Don't have Nitrox ready, can't get air on sundays in time to dive, light filled tanks., and no real gear selection. I just don't go there anymore, I'll spend the gass to keep going to the north shore.
We don't use them anymore either. I thought you might give them a try if there wasn't any other alternative.

What type of training are you looking for?

Andrew G will be there teaching DIR-F and a scooter workshop in November.

Nov 18, 19 , 20 Oahu - Fundamentals - AG
Nov 21, 22, 23 Oahu - Scooter - AG

5thD-X Newsletter

Hope that helps...

I believe Andrew G will be teaching through Island Divers . . .
Talk to Joakim ("Jo") Hjelm (a former DIR-F student of Andrew) about the Workshops or any other Technical Training/Instruction. Just completed a Wreck Class with Jo that turned out to be much more comprehensive than your basic PADI Wreck Specialty Curriculum --an Intro. to Technical Penetration as it was, on the Sea Tiger Wreck utilizing 21/35 Bottom and 50% Deco Mixes. An excellent Instructor and I highly recommend him!

Hi Kevin!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the class with Jo! Did you check out the pictures I took of the class? They are in the dive reports.

I also strongly recommend Jo as an instructor, not only because he is a friend but because he truly lives for it. I've done adv. nitrox and deco with him and have one more dive left on my entry trimix, great stuff!

Jo is leaving for Mexico tomorrow to do his GUE Cave 1 class but you can reach him at jo(at)islanddivershawaii.com

So far Coral Divers isn't teaching tec, but double check with Sully.
Kai Ohana isn't teaching tec either.

Hi Stef!

Those were great shots --particularly liked the composition & framing on the picture of our clipped-off Deco Bottles. Shooting Black & White enhances the "spookiness" of a Wreck Penetration, a real cool haunted house effect & mood. Next Sea Tiger photo-op you get, I'd like to see some more Wide-Angle close-ups of you guys, shooting upwards either next to the bow or the rudder/propeller. . .

Just ran across this this post and I'd like to add to it. On the Island of Oahu these are the technical instructors that I know of:

Jeff from Arons (DSAT)
Jo from Island Divers (TDI) (heavy DIR influence)
Randy Burbank (TDI) (used to work from HSA)
Ray Boland (IANTD)(NOAA diver)
Bob Bennet from Ocean Concepts (DSAT)
Captain Scotty. (NAUI) (I'm not sure if he is still teaching)

I know that both Island divers and OC do tech charters and there are a group of us that will occationally charter scotty's Boat.

Hope this helps

John

I am currently in Jo's adv nitrox and deco class. Great class, great instructor.

Are you saying that I should do rebreather before tech?????
