ScubaTexan:
Just for clarification, it was the 1986 Angels that lost to the Red Sox. They were also one strike away from the World Series. It probably should have been the Astros and Angels in the World Series that year, rather than the Mets and Red Sox.

'86 was good year for Wine and Coke ....:D Why do you think Sox lost?

Astros vs Sox! Wow, teams that have never been in the WS for at least 40 years...

Good for baseball.

This one's gonna' be a tough one for my boys on the south side, but they'll pull it off in 7.

Two down ... two to go??:11:

The 'stros might have lost two but they are coming home and RoyO is pitching tonight.

Hmmm....things I've heard this week....

"Sox did good to get here, but they gotta' deal with Rocket tonight..."

"Ok...they got past Rocket, but here comes Pettit..."

"Wait 'till they get a load of Lidge..."

Is Roy O gonna' be tough? Sure. But even if he pulls one off, that makes the series 2-1. Who you guys got going next? :D

Sox are up 2-0 and I'm happy with that, but the series is far from over.....Houston is a pretty dangerous team. Being a Cubs fan you learn not to get too excited too soon.

I'm loving this. Either way, I'm so happy to see these two teams in the WS.

Natasha, you should see what the atmosphere is like back here at home! :)

I haven't run into any of the rabid Cub fans wishing bad things upon the Sox. What I have seen is a city that is pulling together behind a team that is about to bring home a championship that is about 88 years overdue!

Awe! I miss Chicago so much. Seeing all the shots of the city in the pre game, takes my breath away. I grew up and lived on the south side for 44 years. (I'm a Cubs fan because my north side grandpa was)

Anyway, I haven't been back for 2 years almost to the day.

But, all my south side friends have been keeping me updated. My ex husband, Fed Exed us a ton of the Chicago papers from the month of Oct.

I have so many Astro fans and Sox fans for friends. All I can say is "May the best team win!"
