just wondering if anyone has used tropical divers on bonaire. if you have done any training with them, it would be great to hear thoughts on how that went
thx

this is kinda scary. nobody knows anything about these guys ?? even if you have only done dives with them and no training i would welcome your thoughts

I have used their tanks. I dove with someone that used to work there but then opened their own shop. This was about 5 years ago though.

No complaints. They have (or had at lease when i used them) one of the cleanest/best compressors on the island and are one of the few ops that offer steel tanks (both din and yoke). their fill room was absolutely spotless which cannot be said for all shops on the island (I am looking at you Bonaire dive and Adventure).

I believe that it is a German run shop and that may be the reason not to many people here have used them? not sure but I had no issues or complaints.

We had a similar experience as Scott from LI- dove with Tropical Divers in Feb 2009. Compressor room looked like a hospital- immaculate, with a vast expanse of steel tanks, DIN and yolk, and nitrox in several percentages. Tanks available for night dives. Staff was friendly and seemed competent. German operation, but absolutely no language issues. Did no training, but it was offered. The shop was great, but their lodging, Tropical Inn, was kind of a dump, and there were huge clouds of ravenous mosquitoes from the seasonal wetland behind the place. I believe we were the only North American guests.

I would gladly use the shop again, but would lodge elsewhere.

Very good & professional dive center, German owner so solid organization, probably the best compressor for air/nitrox on the island you can't go wrong with them
