Going to CA for the weekend (back late Tu) and a buddy is willing to lend me his double AL80s (I'm diving double 85s now). He doesn't have a v-weight for them, and I'd prefer not to stick another 10# on my belt. Anyone in the Boston area (within 45 minutes) have an 8-11# v-weight I could borrow for a few days? Willing to bring a six-pack of your favorite beer. Let me know soon. I head out Friday night.

You bet Chris. If you can swing by my place in Quincy to pick it up, I'll be there tonight after 7:00.

Red Stripe, please. ;)

I HATE to see Matt without his beer, but another easy way to add ballast to doubles is to just stick soft weight pouches between the plate and wing. The band bolts keep them from falling out the top or botton, the wing keeps them from falling out betwen the tanks, and the plate holds them in place. Cheap, easy, adjustable.....

Im going to pour a fiew this summer. H gets WAY too much for them!

Matt got his beers. [Thanks, again, Matt.] :)

Tobin, next time I'll try that to see how it works.

dbg40, my buddy and I are also thinking of casting a few this summer (pretty straightforward).
