Glad to hear that others have had good experience with the Neosport line. I frequently hear complaints about Henderson's higher end suits as well from divers here. Of course many like the ease of putting on a Hyperstretch suit, but also say that they tend to dive cold because of the stretching. Sounds like the Wetwear line is one to look into. I know Pete loves his.

glad to hear all your reviews!! as I am a newly certified diver & think ill just rent for this summer to decide what to buy, everything else I purchased was scuba pro...(BC knight hawk, EVO MK17, wrist dive computer, SPG) cant wait for warmer weather here in Michigan.

I may be the exception on Neosport. I bought a 3/2 full...maybe a 3 full 5 years ago. I glued a cheap thigh pocket to it immediately and other than the edges of the pocket pulling away, it has held up fine. It smells like a biohazard and requires regular drenching in Odoban, but that's because I pee in the suit from start to stop. Oklahoma lake diving is hard on suits and it has a few superficial shallow tears on the material they call a knee pad, but it's still solid and does what it is supposed to do. I really can't complain for $79 or $89 on Amazon....or was it Leisurepro?

If you wanting to spend a little more, definately check out the wetsuits from Deep 6. I just got mine and can say there is a difference between a cheap suit and a quality one. My only issue is that it flows very little water so I'm having a pee zipper installed and ankle zippers so I can flush it when I'm on the ladder. If you try and flush it, the legs fill up with water and hold it like the stay puff marshmallow man. I just dove cenotes with it and stayed perfectly warm where most people use at least 5mm of neoprene. I even took off my hood on the second dive. I absolutely love the Deep6 suit.

Deep 6 is a supporter of Scubaboard and it's owners are active members. Check them out if you're looking for a wetsuit. You won't be disappointed.

Safe travels,
Jay

It's been a while since I wore a wetsuit, and even longer since I bought one. But Neosport is definitely the low-price line from Henderson in my experience. I never had a full Neosport suit, but my wife and I had vests, and I had boots and gloves from Neosport. My Hendersons lasted very, very well. Neosports are, well...Neosports. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

For the price, Neosports are great suits for Bonaire. You can throw them around, crawl up onto shore, whatever. And you don't worry about shredding an expensive suit.

@drbill If you're looking for new suit, you may want to consider a new custom one from 7till8 (7till8.com). They are located in Torrance, CA and offer lifetime repairs for their custom suits. Also, they use Yamamoto neoprene, which is pretty much top of the line. Given it's custom made, it doesn't have to stretch a lot.. but it is stretchy. I have no financial connection with 7till8... only a customer.

I have about 70 SoCal dives on my 7till8 7mm made with Yamamoto and it keeps me very warm. I'm actually hot in the summer.
