Thevalkyry just got back. She posted a trip report. I think she has downloaded her computer so she may be able to post temps.

I won't vouch for her fish ID though.

FGB= Flower Gardens Banks

Hey! I know a fish when I see it. I just dont usually know its common name

Min temps were below 75 at depth and that was below a definite thermocline. If you are into depth over duration - or just like getting your nose against the sand - be prepared for the temperature to drop.

My big lesson - take bug spray. Because the little bastards hitch a ride on the boat and will plague you even 100 miles out at sea. I had welts from head to toe.

Looks like current surface temp is 80-81F. I certainly hope it's not 75 at depth in late June!

Was out this last weekend.. 78-81 on the Banks/Rigs.. was as low as 74 at depth at Stetson

For later June, I'm planning on bringing a 3/2mm full suit and a 3mm shorty so if it is colder than expected, I can double them up. I am still expecting 80 +/- at depth.
