ScubaPT,

I'm going to play Sunday by ear. If I do go I will be out at 1:30pm (due to dive shop where I get my tanks doesn't open until 1:00pm).

Realistically I will probably pass this weekend and aim for next Saturday 2/5. If I don't go out this weekend, I will definitely be out 2/5.

I'll post here Sunday morning if I plan on going or not Sunday.

Corigan:
As long as weather is permitting 2/5 sounds good for me.

Matt

Well as we all know Georgia weather can change in the blink of an eye, but right now the forecast for 2/5 is looking pretty good.

Looks like we will try to make a go of 2/5. I'm not going this weekend. I'm going to hang around the house and score points with the wife.

Looking forward to 2/5.

Hey, guys, this is waaaaaaaaaaaaay of topic, but here goes anyway.

As you know, we're rapidly establishing a group of regular divers up at Lanier.

One thing that is really important is the ability to communicate underwater.

To this end may I throw out a suggestion that we all invest in a set of the SeaSign communication cards?

It's a simple and inexpensive ($22) set of flash cards that create an excellent and easily understandable under water communication system.

With all of us starting to dive with each other so much, I really think this would add so much to our diving experiences.

Let me know what ya think . . .

The Kraken

I know I'm being lazy but do you have a link for the SeaSign communication cards?

The idea sounds good.

Hey All,

Just back from Crystal River, the manatees say hi. 2 weekends in a row in Florida. :) Vortex/morrison two weekends ago, and Crystal river this past weekend. I got out of town just in time to miss the ice storm, heh. I know you all hate me.. :crafty: 2/5 is still looking good to me, what time are you all planning on being out there?

The Kraken: As for the communication cards, I think a standard set of communication signals between us all would be quite beneficial. I am all for the idea. Does Seaventures or any local stores carry the SeaSign communication cards? I know I hate carrying slates, and a communications standard that goes beyond basic training would be great. Too bad we all have to wear hoods, I've gotten quite good at barking through my regulator. Too bad it only works in warm water.. :D

Matt

I don't think they're sold locally.
You can check it out at Seasigns.com

So how was Crystal River?
I was thinking of getting up to Lanier around 11:00 but I am fairly open. It would be nice to get in a couple of dives, if the weather forecast holds out.

Yea, how was Crystal River?

11:00 is a good time for me as well. Forcast calls for a pretty good weekend with highs in the 60's. I might be able to swing a ...GASP!!! 2nd dive ...GASP!!! Haha,

Looking forward to getting in the water this weekend.
