Our group will arrive in Curacao on 3/21 so we're a bit earlier than you.

Tennessee Slim, thanks for the restaurant list. We're staying at the Habitat, but will rent cars and plan to spend some time shore diving and visiting the local restaurants.
:)

A few questions for anyone lucky enough to live on the island....
Any idea of current water temps?
Are there any laundromats on the island? As much as I hate to think about doing laundry in paradise, it will cut down on packing.
Are there any grocery stores located relatively close to the Habitat?

Thanks for any info you can provide!!
Meg :)

Meg,
The current watertemperature is 77 degrees (=25 Celcius), but we hope that will rise a in the upcoming month.

Habitat is somewhat away from the main supermarkets. The nearest is Centrum Piscadera, more than 10 miles away.

As for the end of April keep the following days in mind:
Wednesday April 30 is Queens Day. All shops and offices will be closed. There is a flee market in Punda: nice to visit, but it can be crowded.
Thursday May 1 is Labourday and also AscencionsDay. All shops and offices will be closed.
Friday May 2 most offices will be closed, but most of the shops and supermakets are open.
Saturdays and Sundays the offices have their normal closing, so the workers have a long weekend. This includes all banks and the Post Office as well.
