Okay, so I don't scuba dive yet. Everyone has to start somewhere and I figured I should learn to snorkel well before I get into Scuba. I'm still trying to figure that stuff out in terms of equipment and technique. Once I feel confident, and decide I like being underwater, I may want to take up Scuba. In the meantime, does anyone have any experience snorkeling in the Caribbean? I'm interested in visiting Bonaire and would appreciate any hints on when and where to go, and where to stay.

Hello Oncor, welcome to the board. Snorkeling is the best way to develope skills for scuba IMHO. I hear great things about Bonaire and considering the diving there is all shore based it should have great snorkeling.

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho :search: - click here for Search help, and be careful about posting Threads & Replies before reading the Sticky threads at the tops of most forums. PM me if I can help you around here..
