I just don't log dives
I'm heading to blue heron Bridge second week of June (first time to warm water since 2010)

Is there any another shore dive sites in the area? I'm staying in Palm Bay.

Lauderdale by the sea has a great dive off Datura Ave. Maybe 30-40 mins drive but the reef is very close to shore.

be sure to also check the tide tables from BHB. Should plan for 1hr before and 1hr after high tide for your dives. Tides seem to be favorable starting June 10-20, hope that works with your trip. It can be downright dangerous near the bridges outside of these windows. I have the scrapes and scratches to prove it :(

30 or 40 minutes which direction from BHB?

Yes sorry, South. Nice drive along the A1A or 1 .. but yes an hour if so. It's a very different dive and worth it though.

The bridge is a very shallow muck dive, you'll see amazing creatures but there is no reef per say. The beach dive from Lauderdale is really that, walk into the surf and swim out a short distance to the reef line. It's like swiss cheese in parts with lots of nooks and crannies. If you're good with air and in shape you can get out to the second and even third reef line.

A couple of other tips:
You need to tow a diver below buoy here by law (both at the bridge and on the shore dive).
Also, you can check surf conditions here: https://magicseaweed.com/Commercial-Pier-Surf-Report/4420/#Friday3010 for lauderdale by the sea.

Let me know if you come out, and we can try to meet up.

I arrive June 9th, in Orlando driving to Palm bay.

June 10th is a meet up with the group at 730. I'll get the rental car and tanks that morning.

June 11th and 12th are group dives at blue heron when the tides permit.

ok Cool, those are early tides but we may try and make it by the 11th or 12th. Hope you have good viz, some days it's 30-40 .. other days, only 5. If you have a guide from the local shops with your group, they will know where to bring you to see the cool stuff.

Going that early can actually be great as there will be less divers than when the high tide is late morning or afternoon. You will actually be able to park and there will be less people stirring up the bottom. Check out Force-e or Pura Vida Divers for more information.
