I know that there is a 'planned' meeting of some of the board members at Gilboa on the Laborday weekend, but I'm on call that weekend and can't leave the area. So my regular buddy Dave (Cldwdiver) and I are planning on taking my travel trailer and all the tanks we can find and scoot down to Gilboa from our base near Flint, MI on Friday the 12th, after work. We may dive on Friday after arriving, and will certainly be there to dive all day Saturday and probably Sunday morning first thing.

If any of you Bluegrass types are interested, I'm planning a large pot of venison chili, lots of wood for the campfire and some cold brew after the dive day is over. We'll be set up with my 21' 5th wheel trailer and black Dodge shortbox pickup with a John Deere front tag. Come on by and introduce yourself and join in the fun. Bring a chair and hang around for a bit!

Drop me a line if you are interested! I'd like to meet some of you and manybe become an 'honorary' member of the patrol....

The thought ot this combonation is making me salivate! :yummy:
Unfortunately I will be almost recovered from surgery but not yet ready do dive:(

... I've been having some problems with an ear infection (both ears!) and have been on a heavy dose of antibiotics. Well, I saw the doctor this morning and got a clean bill of health and the go-ahead to dive! I have a meeting set up for Friday after work with my partner Dave, to go over the details of staying down at Gilboa the weekend. I have about 30 lbs of venison sausage in the freezer and will have four or five of them in the pot, making up some chili about the wednesday night before we drive down. Will probably bring down a 'Growler' of my favorite IPA from the Black Forest Brewery in Frankenmuth for consumption after the dives. Plan to drop by and stay for chili and a cold brew!

The more the marrier as far as we're concerned!
