I've been hoping to get a chance to go to the Isle of Shoals for a while.

Assuming my work schedule is compatable, count me in. If we plan enough ahead of time, I might be able to request the time off even if I'm normally schedule for weekends.

I heard somewhere that Portsmouth Divers has some partnership with a charter that does Isle of Shoals, I don't if that is the same one you'll been talking about.

Hi everyone,

I haven't forgotten about this trip, it's just that Capt Rob and I have been playing phone tag. I finally reached him tonight.

Here's some info:

Scuba:
2 tank dive: $60
OW certification only required (no need for AOW)
Bring your c-card

Snorkel:
just snorkle: $25

Rob didn't have his schedule on him but he'll get back to me on the available dates in August on Sat and Sundays. I'll post the dates and we'll pick one that meet the most schedules.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Trish

Trish,

I'm definately in!

Trish if the boat only takes 8 divers it may be best if we get the saturday and the sunday so we can all go, the giant stride has a coast gaurd rating for 12 divers i think..

Yes, Giant Stride is rated for 12 divers. However, 12 divers with their cold water gear can get pretty darn crowded. We might be able to get away with 10, though, if we're friendly :)

The number of people interested in going may go down once we get a date. But if we have enough interest to organize two reservations, then I'd be happy to help organize a second reservation. This trip is only 1/2 day so we may be able to reserve a boat all day.

Capt Rob recommended 8 divers but more can fit comfortably if they are snorklers without a lot of gear. Max 12.

Still waiting for Capt. Rob to get back to me on available dates in August...

Trish - Thanks for doing the leg work on this.

I'm definitely in. I'm getting closer everyday to quitting my job with crappy hours and already have a job with a "normal" M-F schedule (with no mornings!!!) for the summer. So looks like I will have every weekend off and be able to make this!

Thanks again Trish, yet again, You Rock!

Here are the available Seal Dive bookings with Capt. Rob for August weekends. They are 1/2 day 2 tank dives.

am = morning dive
pm = afternoon dive

8/2 - pm
8/3 - pm
8/9 - pm
8/16 - am
8/17 - am & pm **
8/23 - pm
8/24 - pm

Please reply or pm me which or if all dates are good for you and if you have an order of preference.

** I verbally reserved this date (8/17) for 2 reservations since it's the only day he has a morning and afternoon trip on the same day, in case enough of you can go. He can only hold this date for me for a couple of days so that I can get all of your feedback.

Please let me know as soon as possible before some of these dates get booked by someone else (8/17 is the only date tentatively reserved for us).

Regards,
Trish
