Recently picked up some new tanks, thought they were 120s till I got them up next to my 120s and they were both taller and fatter...

Tank in the left is my 120 for comparison...

Any thoughts?

low pressure 120 or higher

Galvanized and sequential year tests
Guessing that tank has an interesting history. Good luck!

yeah, it's LP, but that's a HP 120 that it's next to...would a LP be different in shape / size?
yes, in the US our tanks are called out by their nominal air capacity at working pressure and not their physical water capacity like in Europe. A HP120 and LP120 are both roughly the same height but the LP120 has an 8" diameter where your HP120 has a 7.25" diameter.

The new LP bottle is made by PST and I am not aware of them making a LP tank with a larger capacity than 120cf. I have 6 of those though setup as doubles, they're amazing!

Who made your HP120? PST or Asahi?

Also the boots can make them look disproportionate if the 8" boot is taller. Take them both out of the boot and measure their actual length. If both are PST 120's the skinny one should be just under 28" to the top of the neck and the LP120 should be about 29.5" to the top of the neck.

I’d likely buy it off you if it’s not the match you’re looking for

My question would be, why would someone pay to have a new hydro test a year later?
