FYI: Frontier Airlines has a direct flight from Denver. For me, I was able to actually find the best rates using Frontier Airline Vacations (About $200 less than Orbitz). For four adults, including airfare, staying at the Aura was $1,200 each. The diving package can be added on by calling the hotel directly - at least that is what 1-800-Wyndham told me; However I called and had no luck talking with the reservations gal. I might give it another go later in the month. However at that price point, I'll probably just take care of the diving on my own. Happy Travels!
Did you use the Enterain200 promo code on Orbitz? Also using the Entertain200 promotion you get $200 off per room. So if you needed 2 rooms you would get $400 off. Now this is for air/hotel package.

Oh yeah, I actually forgot you mentioned that discount code! So I priced it on both sites to see if with the promo code it was a better deal. We are booking the 2 bedroom (considered one room) so only $200 off for a total of $1279.66 each after the discount. On Frontier Airlines it is now showing a higher rate of $1,291.60 each (was around $1,197 on Monday). So the discount now makes a difference!

It is crazy how pricing flip-flops all around - I know it happens all the time, you gotta just be so diligent!!!

Thanks for the Entertain200 discount heads up! :blinking:

Well at the current prices you mentioned i would go with Frontier because it is a direct flight. if you are flexible check out different dates especially mid week travel is cheaper then traveling on the weekends.

So true about the flip flops in airfare. If I remember right people have posted that Tuesday at midnight is a great time to check air because hold usually go away.

Unfortunately, Frontier doesn't fly to Cozumel daily. So you are restricted by which days they fly.

However, I booked a flight with them for November 1st, which is now gone but there is a flight on November 2nd. No notification from Frontier either. My choice is to stay an extra day or book a return with another airline. Doubles the length of time to fly back. The other option is to fly in and out of Cancun, which they do fly daily, and do the bus/ferry combo.

Yeah, Continental did that to me in May; I had to stay an extra day. It was horrible! :D

If you are going for 7 days or longer try orbitz for a hotel/airfare package. Use this promo code Entertain200 and you will get $200 off of your total price. Then book diving with your operator of choice. That is what I did as a single traveler and I am glad I did.

It basically comes out to $200 off the hotel portion of the trip. The airfare portion of the ticket was the same price as if I had booked it seperately. I am staying at the Villablanca in the large room with balcony for $37/day including taxes. I even checked the price of just booking hotel only on Orbitz and it was going to cost me $70+ per night for the same room.

Thanks for the code. I got a flight from Phoenix and 8 nights at Villa Blanca for $631 single occupancy.

I took the question as requesting Diving Specials, and I don't know much about operators other than the one I stick with - so hadn't looked at this thread before. See responses, I thot I would now - but you folks are talking flights & hotels, not dives...?

I thot that was for 5 night minimum...?

You're such a trooper; I'm sure you suffered well.

I did a spot check on my flights 8/18-23: up from $300 to $500 inclusive, so I guess things are starting to return to normal?

Looking for LAX-CZM with flexible airports and dates both...

Click pics to enlare; Right click and select New Tab best :cool2:
Looks like the fares were cheaper LAX-CZM, now up: 1.jpg

LAX-CZM: $500 each is easy 2.jpg

LAX-CUN-SNA: $349 3.jpg
:hmmm: Different departure, return airports - no biggie with Super Shuttle. I'd rather fly into Coz, but for $151 each if you did air alone...?

Or nice packages right into Coz with Air & Hotel: $571 up after coupon 4.jpg
Be sure to use Orbitz links and Entertain200 discount to get prices lowest
I'd certainly suggest paying a little more to stay with Cont Air all the way, and maybe a little more for Casa del Mar rather than Villa Blanca for a number of reasons - $626 each for 1-stop, same airline, in/out of Coz rather than Cancun, no dock fees, etc.

Hope this helped some...? :eyebrow:

Your welcome. My cost for the Villablanca for 9 nights single was $649. When are you going?

August 29 through September 6. I was prepared to go solo, but it looks like I will have one or two of my dive buddies joining me.
