Try to avoid the hassle of packing food onboard. I guess I really missed some Thai and Asian ops that provide full lunch including rice, meat, veg and soup during SI.

it is advisable to avoid heavy meals between dives. It is the main reason we only provide snacks on the boat.

We stop at a beach restaurant for the SI and those who really want something more substantial than the fruit, cheese/crackers, cookies, etc. can get something else to eat. We also do longer surface intervals than many operators.

Have a good time!

We had a small sandwich and pineapple or watermelon or both some days from Dive Paradise. That was in May 2004. There is always cold water and I believe there were also sodas.
I agree with Christi. I don't like to eat much between dives. A little fruit and water is usually enough for me.

OK Christi, my mom used to tell me that about swimming and I never believed her either. Any real evidence to back that up? I can see sea sickness maybe. BTW my friends tell me you run a great op. Hope to dive with you all sometime in December. Could you at least throw in a few taquitos?

Going a little off topic, but nothing beats a bag of Oriel cookies between dives. IMHO.

For me, noting beats a diet coke. Anything else to eat is fine, including oreos. Actually, a Krispy Kreme donut or 2 sounds good too. If not that, cut up oranges or pineapple.

Blue Angel has drinks, fruit and cookies. A guy who usually goes on the annual trip brings big bags of trail mix bought at Sams. Blue Angel has had turnovers also.

Went on another trip where we did 3 tank dives with Aqua Safari. We stopped at San Francisco beach for sit down lunch after the first two dives

Used to dive with Del Mar aquatics. All they had was water. One reason why trip leader quit using them

I don't eat a full meal even if the op provides it. I eat up to 70-80% full. However, I would like something more than cookies. There is still a lot of room between cookies and full meal like those Asian ops. Actually small ham croissants are fine with me. Fatigue will increase the chance for DCS. I don't want to dive with an empty stomach. I too will avoid an op only giving out water and fruits if I have other choices.
