hi folks,

i have a friend who has been prescribed an antidepressant to *reduce* serotonin levels (a comparatively unusual form of depression - too much serotonin)

she'd love to learn to dive but apparently this medication is a contra-indicator; naturally i've forgotten the actual name of the stuff, but can anyone shed light on this? or on diving + antidepressants generally...

Hi pwl,

Your friend might may wish to commence with this article from DAN's Alert Diver
