Another weighting question

One thing that has not been mentioned here is this: EXHALE completely when first breaking the surface...then exhale more. Everybody was a noob at one time, and the thing I remember the most is thinking I was exhaling but I still had air in my lungs. This is simple yet you need to think about it. A newer diver tends to breath very deeply and frequently on the surface...just a common occurance.

This will allow you to take some of the weight off quickly as long as you can still maintain buoyancy at the end of the dive.
