3) Could you get away with taking no ID/credit card/cash with you or is that a bad idea?

I have, repeatedly. Of course things could be different had I ever been stopped and asked for ID, but I wonder if that even happens to anyone driving a Buddy or AB truck with tanks in the back.
 
Leaving the pier after a pretty late dive in June we were pulled over, maybe because there’d been a little hotrodding going on, plus the hour (about 11). I didn’t have my license and got some shade for it from the officer who seemed to be in charge, but after five or so minutes were sent on our way. I almost always stick my license in a pocket, but not that night.
 
I have a small dry box for CC, Cash and DL. I don't use it for important stuff (FOB). That goes in my dryfob. Wet money, DL and CC accepted everywhere. I don't know if the metal in the chip in CC will corrode over time so I try and keep it from high pressure salt water infiltration.
