After several weeks of lurking, I wanted to introduce myself. After snorking off several Caribbean islands on a recent cruise, the hook was set and wheels were immediately set in motion. I finished my Scuba Diver certification thought the good people at ScubaToys weekend before last. Despite the poor visibility at CSSP recently and having the world's most absent minded buddy imaginable, it was still tons of fun and I look forward to many more adventures in the drink.

I can't say enough positive things about ScubaBoard. I've picked up an immeasurable amount of useful information here.

Cheers,

Hey Everett, welcome to SB and to the scuba diving world, once you are bit there's no cure. Watch that wallet.
btw: glad to see you're not lurking no more. :D

Welcome to the best place on the net. Glad you were not scared off by a poor buddy. It can only get better. CSSP is the place to dive in the DFW area but nothing like the islands. Hope to see and meet you soon.

Welcome to the board!

:happywave Hello there ceverett, welcome to Scuba Board! I have been impressed with the help I’ve received from here. You came to the right place to seek advice and see what other divers are up to. Take care and Safe Diving. Matt. :walksmil:

I don't mean to get picky, but did you get your scuba diver cert or your open water cert?

Welcome to the boards.

Tom, with Naui they're one and the same. Naui doesn't offer a resort course. He said he certified through ScubaToys, so his card will say Naui Scuba Diver.

Just FYI.

Yeah, looking at the underwater world from a snokel and mask just makes some of us want to be in it more. I understand...

Welcome to the board. Keep diving. You will get bad buddies from time to time. You can only make sure your skills are at their best, so you can try to compensate.... Good Luck in the future.
