I am a South African, live in Spain and am a 65 year-old pensioner. My general interests include non-fiction literature, nature (in particular bird watching), on-line computer games, travel, current affairs, gardening, photography, cooking, wining and dining, and anything interesting that my pension will stretch to.

I received my PADI OW certification in Aruba in 1995 and my PADI AOW in Roatan in 1999. I have 113 logged dives, mostly in the Caribbean, but also in the Comoros Islands and Red Sea. My main U/W interest is fauna and flora identification. For this specific purpose I recently acquired an Intova Sport Pro. The pension did not stretch (as yet?) to a lighting rig.

I have decided to restart scuba diving after having made only a few dives in the past 7 years. As a result I am currently planning refresher training and computer training for my newly acquired bottom-of-the-range Oceanic Veo 100.

My wife is an avid surface snorkeller.
